Joshua Towne

Joshua Towne started his career at the United States Postal Service in 2014 in Worcester, Ma. The first day he was asked to join the NALC, Joshua knew the NALC Branch 12 was a brotherhood he wanted to be a part of. Joshua experienced his first labor dispute in 2021 when the Massachusetts Nurses Association and Saint Vincent’s Hospital stalemated in contract negotiations. He visited the strike line with his brothers and sisters of Branch 12. In February 2023, Joshua accepted a transfer to Woonsocket, RI to be closer to his family. In 2025 Joshua was a key contributor and organizer in the CCA Summer campaign which educated new non-career employees about heat safety and workers rights on the job. During that same summer Joshua aided in coordinating a day in which members from NALC Branch 55 (Pawtucket, RI) and NALC Branch 34 (Boston, MA) joined members of The Democratic Socialist of America to stand in solidarity on the SEIU 1199 lock out line from Butler Hospital (Providence, RI). This led to the first Solidarity Report released on Next Generation Carriers Podcast. In October 2025 Joshua accepted the role of the Letter Carrier Political Fund Coordinator for Branch 55. After an active 2025 year Joshua started to reach out to different labor advocates through connections he had built through the CCA Summer Campaign, Next Generation Carriers Podcast exposure, and The Letter Carrier Political Fund Coordinator appointment to build the Solidarity Report platform. During 2026 Joshua has spoken with and encouraged local presidents, national e-board members, Area Labor Federation Presidents, as well as AFL-CIO state presidents in order to help progress the labor movement in America. On June 4, 2026 Joshua was asked to step up into a steward role for his station in Woonsocket, Rhode Island where he accepted the position. Joshua looks forward to utilizing his skills in communication and organizing to connect with more union leaders to promote letter carrier issues and legislation as well as aiding to progress the labor movement as a whole.
